The Wild Wood - Creative writing task 1 - Wee Ashley

The park laid before him as light drew less. Lush tall trees were surrounding him. Sheldon had finally finished his tuition and started walking home. The light from his handphone lit up his face. Glancing up briefly, he noticed a pair of eyes which flashed up for an instant. Shaking his head, Sheldon looked back down onto his phone.
Soon, he heard rustling and saw more pairs of eyes surrounding him. He knew this was all fun excitement and told himself cheerfully that he was just imagining things. Suddenly,he heard a faint scream right behind him. More eyes seemed to appear and the park got dimmer and dimmer. He thought he felt someone tapping him and without turning around, he ran, although he knew not where and at last, he took refuge in the deep dark hollow of a beech tree.
When the coast was clear and Sheldon had calmed down, he headed home with the scream still ringing in his ears.

A Time I Persevered And Was Successful

I was primary 4 and I was having my CA2 very soon. I was also in an Intra-School Media Competition and thus had to balance revision, work and staying back to complete my animations. When it was week 6, the exams had arrived and I was almost done with the animation and had to do the finishing touches. Suddenly, my computer crashed and I lost all my files. I would have a thumb drive, but I did not think I would need one as the school's computers were quite safe and I would doubt any viruses would corrupt my files at all. I made a huge mistake. Instead of the files corrupting, the whole computer crashed. I only had 3 weeks left to finish the animation. I saved as many files as possible and redrew everything that I needed to. Week 8, there was still so much to be done. I really wanted to give up. However, with the help of my instructors and my seniors, I persevered and I did it - I succeeded and finished the animation! I ended up winning second in the competition and I was really proud of myself.

Homework on Suspense- Ashley

The suspenseful book I have read is "Looking for Alaska" by John Green.
The most suspenseful part would be (spoiler alert) when Alaska passed away in a car crash. She almost forgot about her 8th month anniversary with her boyfriend. Thus she rushed to his house by car although she was drunk. The main character, Miles, had to deal with his emotions after finding out that she passed away the next morning. With his good friend, "Colonel" , they decided to find out how she crashed. They did not know if it was really an accident or she committed suicide. They were also guilty as they did not stop her from going to her boyfriend's house when she was drunk.
They decided to give up on the mystery and come to terms with their loss and move on. They eventually decided to focus on their studies instead.

Wee Ashley- True Me poem

My real name is Ashley.
A name I wish to be called animator is  because I love animating.
The animal that’s inside of me is a dog because I’m loyal.
The object that’s inside my heart is friends because they are one of the most important things in my life.
The word on my forehead is funny because I like making people laugh. (No i can't tell jokes.
)
The sound that I love is music because it calms me down.
The smell that I love is food because who doesn’t?
My favourite time of day is during the evening because I get to relax and sleep.
My mother/father/friends/grandparents always says to me, “ Get off your phone .”
